Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service ("Terms") define the rules for accessing and using Nyx Player ("the Application"), a desktop IPTV player with metadata enrichment via TMDB.

By using the Application, you fully accept these Terms.

2. Account & Registration

Access to the Application requires creating an account with a valid email address. Authentication is managed by Supabase.

You agree to:

• Provide a valid, personal email address
• Not share your login credentials
• Keep your password confidential

3. Service Description

Nyx Player is a desktop application that plays IPTV content from user-provided sources (Xtream Codes servers). The Application enriches content metadata via the TMDB (The Movie Database) API.

The Application offers:

• Live TV and Video on Demand (VOD) playback
• Automatic metadata enrichment (posters, synopses, ratings)
• Watchlist management and playback progress tracking
• Cross-device data synchronization via user account

4. IPTV Content

Nyx Player does not provide, host, or distribute any IPTV content. You are solely responsible for the IPTV sources you configure in the Application.

The publisher of Nyx Player cannot be held responsible for the legality, quality, or availability of content accessible through user-configured IPTV sources.

5. Intellectual Property

The Nyx Player Application, its source code, interface, and design are the exclusive property of the publisher. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

Displayed metadata (posters, synopses, ratings) comes from TMDB and is subject to their own terms of use.

6. Limitation of Liability

The publisher does not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted availability of the Application
• Complete absence of bugs or errors
• Compatibility with all IPTV servers
• Quality or legality of user-configured IPTV streams

The Application is provided "as is". You use it at your own risk.

7. Donations

The Application is free and does not require any payment to use. Voluntary donations may be made to support its ongoing development through the third-party platform Ko-fi (ko-fi.com), which processes payments via Stripe.

Donations are:

• Entirely voluntary and without any consideration
• Non-refundable, unless required by applicable law
• Reserved for persons aged 18 or older

Donations do not confer any advantage, additional feature, premium access, or priority support. The Application remains identical for all users regardless of whether they have donated.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Ko-fi and Stripe. The publisher of Nyx Player does not collect or store any payment information. Please refer to Ko-fi's Terms of Service and Stripe's Terms for payment-related policies.

8. Modification of Terms

The publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of changes through the Application. Continued use after modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
